I perform at Rakuda Kitchen every Wednesday – I perform outdoors under the umbrellas. Fantastic on a busy warm summer evening. This venue is very popular and can get quite cosy under the canopy when the heaters are on. Arrive early to get a seat if you’re planning to visit.
My set at Rakuda tends to be quite experimental and usually kicks off around 8pm and finishing around 10pm though the times re flexible. If is a good night with an interactive crowd I just play on. I usually experiment with other musicians at this venue, trying out ideas for the main band before we play more traditional shows. Usually my youngest sister performs a 20-30 minute set in the break between my sets (she’s just starting out so come along and give her some support – she performs solo on guitar and vocals). I’m often accompanied at this gig by George Comer on Sax (George also performs in my live band “The Smoking’ Locos”.
